Improved energy efficiency
It is well known that the major impact an air-conditioning system has on global warming is the indirect CO2 emissions that result from the production of the energy they consume. Lowering these emissions levels is a key criterion for companies like Lennox Europe. It asked several of its long-standing partners, including LCE, to help it design a new, energy-efficient commercial range designed for use in supermarkets, restaurants, sports facilities etc, called the Baltic™ range.
LCE is a leading manufacturer and supplier of equipment for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and cooling markets. Its engineers have been working alongside Lennox on the development of the Baltic™ range on two key aspects:
Developing an energy-efficient heat exchanger concept (optimized for environmentally-friendly coolants such as R 410A), providing the lowest possible energy consumption Heat transfer and recovery - the most effective way to save energy in a building. Lennox Europe’s Baltic™ range recovers heat rejected by the food refrigeration units and uses it to heat the building.
The new Baltic™ range can contribute to a 50% reduction in energy consumption, compared to a conventional HVAC system.
Addressing European regulation
“The optimisation of heat exchangers is an essential requirement for improving the energy efficiency of the rooftop units and achieving the certifications that we strive for,” said Julien Desbat, European marketing manager for the Rooftop ranges.
The BalticTM responds to the challenge of the EPBD (Energy Performance of Buildings Directive) and to the future thermal energy efficiency regulation in buildings post 2012. As with other Lennox products, the BalticTM is undergoing Eurovent certification, the European programme that guarantees the performance declared by the manufacturer.
“BalticTM illustrates our focus on the design of innovative, efficient and dependable products which provides the best life cycle cost. This strategy also meets the expectations of our customers in terms of cost cutting. Energy consumption would amount to 75% of the running costs of a rooftop unit during its average 15 years’ working life,” added Julien Desbat.

Lloyd Mostra Convegno Expocomfort 2010 – We enjoyed it!
The attention of all HVAC professionals was focused on Milano in Italy on March 27th – 29th, 2010, where the 37th edition of the important event in the HVAC calendar, Mostra Convegno Expocomfort, took place.
LLOYD COILS EUROPE, as one of the most significant European manufacturers and suppliers of heat transfer coils, could not have missed that!
At the stand no. D21-E22 in the pavilion 24, the representatives of our company were ready to welcome all parties interested in our business, including existing and prospective customers, suppliers, and the general public as well as our old friends.
Régis Deléage, Sales and Marketing Director, comments: “In spite of the moderate decrease in the number of the exhibition visitors in comparison with previous editions, I am excited about the overall result of our attendance at MCE. We have met many interesting and respected people, which was an excellent opportunity to share news in the business and get interesting information within the HVAC field. We have also noted a very good reaction from the market about our Aluminum Coils that should become a part of our portfolio soon.”.
Many of LLOYD COILS EUROPE stand’s visitors were from Eastern Europe, mainly from Russia, but also from France and North Africa. Significant growth of interest in the company’s services and production capabilities was also noted from a number of Italian manufacturers.
“The discussions were really inspiring and we thank to all our visitors for their time” adds Regis. “We will keep in touch with everyone and are looking forward to our future cooperation.”

LLOYD COILS EUROPE has (almost) the fastest employees
It is so easy to be proud of employees, especially when they are the best ones!
The four headed team called “LLOYD COILS – Designers” participated in the Hervis ½ Marathon Prague – the traditional and challenging running contest between corporate unprofessional teams.
They finished in the unbelievable 10th position out of the 284 teams that entered in the contest.
The Hervis ½ Marathon took place in Prague city centre on March 27, 2010 as a part of the famous Prague International Marathon (http://www.praguemarathon.com/en). The running track was divided into four phases: 5km + 5km + 5km + 6.097km, each for one runner.
The team “LLOYD COILS – Designers” took the challenge and trained for the contest seriously, which really paid off. They ended in tenth position with the stunning total time 1 hour and 33 minutes. For comparison - the winning team was only about 12 minutes faster, while the last team came in almost 1 hour later.
Thank you, designers, and congratulations!
We also congratulate another LLOYD COILS EUROPE team that represented the company in the race. The team “LLOYD COILS – Ladies ride” reached with the time 1 hour and 59 minutes a wonderful 165 position. We all admire their courage and passions, which they showed for the race.
And last, but not at least, we also congratulate to Jan Pravda, Operations manager of the company, who decided not to participate in the relay race, but run the whole distance – 21.097 km – on his own. Hands-up for his sports spirit!

Kazakhstan International Exhibition
LLOYD COILS EUROPE had pleasure in participating at the Kazakhstan International Exhibition, Equipment, Tare, Packaging 2009, which was held from 15th to 17th April, 2009 in Almata exhibition centre, Atakent, Kazakhstan. Present exhibitors were foremost food producers or manufactures of machines for the food industry from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Russia, Belorussia and many other states.
For LLOYD COILS EUROPE, the attendance at the exhibition was a great opportunity and at the very same time a great success. The representatives of our company were presenting the LLOYD brand to the visitors during the official opening of the exhibition. They were interviewed by Kazakhstan TV channel Khabar and later, they represented LLOYD at a press conference. They also contributed to an expert seminar with their lecture about Condensers in cooling machines in the food industry.
During the three days, they received a lot of new and valued information and met plenty of specialists, with whom we will, of course, stay in touch.
We want to thank to all visitors to our stand at the exhibition, for their interest shown in LLOYD COILS EUROPE, and for the time they have spent with us.

Chillventa 2008 – We were there!
On October 15. – 17. 2008, Lloyd Coils Europe was, for the first time, represented at a major trade show, Chillventa in Nurnberg, Germany, with the new name unveiled.
We had an ideal position in the hall number 6 with many big players around, such as Tecumseh just in front of us with their magnificent and busy stand.
The company was represented by the whole of the sales team and supported by the management of Lloyd Coils Europe and Lloyd Electric & Engineering Ltd from India. Many other functions, such as procurement, technical support etc. also visited the exhibition to get further knowledge of developments in our field.
The three days in Chillventa were full of work, the exhibition was unexpectedly busy. We met with a lot of new prospects and received many new leads and inquiries, which will now, after the exhibition, be carefully followed. In addition we had the pleasure of meeting old friends, existing customers and the representatives of the press.
Based on the huge amount of new enquiries and leads received during the exhibition, the HVAC& R business is growing in Europe although the economical slow down is already visible.
We thank all our visitors very much and will be in touch with you in the near future.
In addition we thank also all employees, associates and suppliers who helped us to have such a successful exhibition.

26 and 27 June 2008 – Meeting with Customers
An informal meeting of LLOYD COILS EUROPE representatives with the company’s customers and suppliers took place in late June in the exquisite setting of the Ledeburg Gardens, in the vicinity of Prague Castle.
Lloyd Electric and Engineering Ltd., the new owner of LLOYD COILS EUROPE, was introduced to the guests during the evening.
The meeting was conceived as a garden party. In addition to seeing performances by Mr Pavel Hrubec, European tap-dance champion, the guests could try their fortune in roulette and Black Jack (obviously not with real money), play croquet, take part in an auction for prizes and savour grilled specialities and other delicacies from an extensive menu. The whole evening concluded with a breathtaking fire show by the Pa-li-tchi group.
On the second day, 27 June 2008, the guests had the opportunity to visit our manufacturing facility where they were shown round by Vojtěch Harok, Engineering Manager, and Filip Eisenreich, CEO.
An unconventional tour of Prague’s historic centre was also prepared for foreign guests.
